The Empire Supporters Club held its annual January membership event this past Saturday at the new home for ESC, Nevada Smiths, in Manahtten. Special guest and current New York Red Bulls Managing Director Erik Stover addressed the packed house about several topics, such as the recent trades of Dave van den Bergh and Mike Magee, the current state of the Red Bull Arena and Red Bull Training Facility, the upcoming collective bargaining agreements, and more. Also on hand was Mike Petke who gave a brief statement to the fans and hung out for a few and had some pints. The love in the room for the former longtime Metrostar and Long Island native was obvious.
