Our team kicks off the 2009 season against Starbucks FC live and direct from Seattle, Washington, home of second biggest underwear model to hit MLS this decade, Freddie Ljungberg. In case you don’t know much about Seattle (and, how could you, they haven’t played a game yet), they boast former US goalie icon (and all around stubborn SOB) Kasey Keller, Dermot Mulrooney look-a-like Patrick Ianni, Former Galaxy player and Beckham waterboy Pete Vagenas and ex-Metro deer in headlights Taylor “which way are we going again?” Graham, who apparently starts for their defense (ha!).

Come out and kick the season off in style on Thursday, March 19th at 9pm. The ESC will be there from about 8pm onwards, and we’ll be selling memberships in case you haven’t picked one up already. Kickoff is at 9pm on ESPN2.

Note- We expect to be doing match viewings for every away game (unless there’s a bus trip) at Nevada’s in 2009. So, plan on getting out there. We have arranged to have some drink specials going on during our MLS games (only), including a tie-in with Red Bulls and the reasonably famous mixed drink that they leant their name to like it was a soccer team. (Red Bull & Vodka, for those of you not following along). We will also be there for most USA games, though those will be somewhat less official and the drink specials, etc will not apply for those games.
