Philly Bus Trip Details
Philly Bus Trip Details-
We are doing busses to the Philly Away Game. Tickets for the bus (only) are $ 20 for ESC members, $ 30 for non-ESC members. We will be trying to run about 4-5 busses, but it’ll be first come, first served, and if we can’t fill the 4th or 5th bus, we won’t do it, so sign up early to get confirmed. If we do not have enough people for an extra bus, we’ll refund the money (if we’ve taken any) for the people not on that bus and we’ll try to arrange some car pools/etc to get everyone there. But, we can’t run a bus for just a few people, so, please know this in advance.
Sign ups being Oct. 2nd at the Woly Pre-Game Concert at El Pastor, and will close on Oct. 12th. We are taking money in person at El Pastor, and we’ll also work on putting a link up on the web site store to buy a ticket that way, so that if you can’t make it to the game this week you can still get on the bus. If we can’t get the link up we’ll allow you to paypal it to us, but please do not start paypalling until we’ve sent out the instructions, which will be Saturday morning.
Our plan is run (roughly) 4-5 busses, with 2 from NY and 2-3 from Jersey. The NY busses will pick up in our usual NYC spot at 31st & 8th ave. They will then drive to New Jersey, where the NJ busses will meet us. We aren’t sending all of the busses to NYC, because you can’t park 5 busses on the street without freaking out the NYPD. So, once the NYC busses get to Jersey, all of the busses will leave together to go to Philly (feel free to caravan with us if you are driving yourself but want to hang). All of the busses will park in the same lot in Philly, in a protected lot just for NY fans. All of the NY fans will march in together, will march out together, and all of the busses will leave together and drive home. The NJ busses will go straight back to NJ, the NY busses will go back to NY, but, since life isn’t made out of round numbers there’s a good chance that the NY busses may both pick up a few people and drop off a few people in NJ, in which case we’ll all ride to Metropark on the way back. The division is being done to make it easier on the drivers and (potentially) cheaper for us, in case you were wondering.
Here is the schedule, which may change when we get confirmation from the Philly FO on our final parking lot plans. Note: the RBFO went to bat for us with Philly and worked out a deal where we are going to get our bus parking for free, which will save us a nice bit of money, bringing down the cost of everyone, which is cool.
