Note: if you are late, the BUSSES WILL NOT WAIT FOR YOU. Since people no-show without telling us, we cannot hold the busses and make everyone else late because you are not there on time. So, know that you need to be there early. You should be on the bus ready to LEAVE ON THE BUS by the times listed above, not rolling into the lot to park at 2:45 expecting to hop onto the bus. Be respectful of everyone else, leave a bit early to give yourself extra time if there’s a traffic jam or whatever.
Pickup in NYC is on the north east corner of 31st & 8th avenue, right next to Penn Station/Madison Sq. Garden, just look for the Red Bull fans. Sometimes the bus pulls up on 8th ave, sometimes on 31st st. so just hang tight and we’ll figure it out when the busses get there.
Pickup at Red Bull Arena is on the EAST side of the stadium. You can park in the lot behind the stadium (for free). It’s the orange rectangular lot at the end of Cape May St. on the east side of the stadium in the diagram linked here, closest to gate D. http://www.redbullarena.us/assets/1/workflow_staging/Page/984.JPG
First, there ARE still spots on the busses available. We currently have one supporter club bus that has around a dozen or so seats on it, so there is a chance to get on if you haven’t already. We do need to know your name in advance and please RSVP to empiresupportesclub@gmail.com if you want on so that we know you’re coming, but we’d like to get as many people from whatever club on whatever busses are out there, so that no club ends up short on an empty bus, and so that we have as many fans as possible down there. If you have not purchased a ticket already, we DO NOT have any more tickets for sale, but you might be able to find one on StubHub or something.
For those who are DRIVING DOWN, please note the following:
Vehicle Parking:
Visiting supporters will park their vehicles in the Boat Slip Parking lot, located off of Flower St. People driving down are encouraged to car pool.  If that lot fills up, overflow parking for RB fans will be in Lot B. http://www.philadelphiaunion.com/content/parking-ppl-park
Also, (a) remember that you are an away fan in their lots, so keep your head about you at all times. Safety in numbers; (b) remember its the Commodore Perry Bridge off of Route 222, not the Ben Franklin, just an FYI; also, (c) Plan to get down to Phily and INTO the lot by 5pm. There is not a lot of tailgating that you can do there, and they tend to not allow alcohol in that lot, so if you want to make a day out of it, hang in Philly or something first, then go to the lot and plan to march right in. It’s Chester, you don’t want to be there longer than you have to. All RBNY fans should be in the lot at 5:30pm at the latest.
Those on the busses will be in the following location.
Bus Parking:
Boat Slip Lot, located off of Flower. Buses will unload in the Boat Ramp area and then park. Tickets will be distributed in the Boat Ramp area. We will march in from this location as well.
Important times:
5:30pm banners and drum check in
6:00pm march in
7:00pm Game
Entrance Search Policy:
All bags and persons subject to search at PPL Park will be searched, this includes a pat down. All jackets must be removed at time of search.
Entry in and Exit from PPL Park:
Visiting supporters will gather in the Boat Ramp area. Visiting supporters will be escorted through the River Gate (Southeast corner of PPL Park) and will go up the concourse staircase to the top of section 132 and walk down into their seats. The top of 132 is for supporters only. There will be concessions and portable bathrooms at the top of section 132.
During the match:
All supporters who want to go down to the concourse level must stay inside of a secured area behind sections 130-133. Supporters will not be permitted outside of this section. There are food concessions and restrooms in this area.
Banner Policy:
Signs, banners or similar items that are obscene or indecent, not event-related, potentially offensive to other patrons, capable of blocking the views of other Guests or otherwise deemed dangerous or inappropriate by the Union are prohibited.
Signs/flags on poles or sticks, constructed of wood or metal material, are also not permitted. Management reserves the right to confiscate signs that are in violation of stadium policy.
We will have a series of RBNY banners, but we generally advise against bringing your own banners. There are limited places to put them in Philly, and they don’t let us hang a lot there. Also, it could be stolen, so know that we’ll have enough banners to cover our needs for the game.
Tailgate Policy:
Tailgating is not allowed on PPL Park premises by any visiting supporters groups. So, basically, you can sit in your car, or you can not be in the lot. They advise against or outright prohibit you to be in the lot sporting away colors. (friendly, we know).
Post-game Policy:
Visiting supporters will be held back 30-40 minutes, and will be escorted out of the building directly onto their buses.
Reminder that anyone who is ejected from PPL Park could face also face a ban at RBA. (note: this is a league-wide policy, not just RBNY)
So, don’t tell us that you weren’t warned or that you didn’t know. The rule may not make sense, it may be dumb, but, it’s the rule. If you get arrested for starting a fight or throwing something there, you could get shut out of RBA. So, keep it under wraps and use your head.
Reminder that inappropriate behavior that requires the attention of Chester PD could result in arrest. And the judge doesn’t work on the weekend.
