ROAD TO HELL CONTINUES…..DRINK THE PAIN AWAY!!

The New York Red Bulls are on the road yet again this weekend as thier epic road trip continues this Saturday in a 2008 MLS Cup rematch with surging Columbus at Crew Stadium. Gone is any real hope or optimisim that the team can turn around the regular season, all that is left is to salvage some pride and avoid being branded the worst Metro/Red Bull team in the history of the franchise.

Despite the horrible place in the standings we hold and the general poor quality of play, we endure. ESC will be at their official away match bar Nevada Smiths, so stop by for some $4 Spaten Lager 20.oz Imperial Pints and get stuck in with the rest of us.

YOU CAN STICK YOUR SPACE NEEDLE UP YOUR ASS

ass

Call us bitter, but given the state of the team this season we are not in a welcoming mood these days, especially for that bastard expansion side that started this whole cursed season. They have some Columbian that stalks females, a former underwear model, a bunch of cast offs and a lard ass for a head coach. Screw these guys, lets give them hell.

As always ESC will be pregaming in Lot 16A at Giants Stadium starting at 3PM until the march in at 20 minutes prior to kick off. However, unfortunately this week Chef Leon will be away and there will be no special ESC tailgate menu.

D-Day Invasion +1

d-day

June 6, 1944 - The day a massive force inavaded enemy territory and turned the tide of a campaign which led to the ultimate victory. The spirit of that day lives on this Sunday as ESC send all divisions north on I-95 to Foxboro for what could be the decisive battle of 2009, with ultimate defeat at stake.

Yes, the team this year has played poorly, as it stands today our beloved squad sits bottom of the table and their season all but over. The Empire Supporters Club is sneding its brave soliders in a last stand effort to push the team to earn a victory, a victory at a stadium we havent tasted victory since 2001. We will leave it all on the line there, victory or death to the season…the team must win to salvage any hope at playing meaninful league football the rest of the season.

Wish us luck. This is our D-Day.

For those that did sign up for the Bus Trip to Foxboro you can find full information here :FULL BUS TRIP DETAILS

Remember only those that previously signed up will be allowed on the bus.

WE HATE UNITED WATCH PARTY - NY v. DC

Man do we hate those DB’s down in the District. This Thursday we get to hate them some more, over pints at our Official Away Match Bar…Nevada Smiths. The action begins at 7:30 P.M.

The NY Post is reporting that Jorge Rojas will make an apperanece for this match before he hops a plane for Venezula for World Cup qualifiers. Also, Beloved striker Mac Kandji is nursing a leg injury and is doubtful for the match. The Red Bulls need this win like Elliot Spitzer needs sex with hookers and anything less is going to force hundreds of ESC members into further alcoholism…brought to you by Spatan Lager.

WHEN: Thursday June 4th
TIME: 7:30 P.M.
WHERE: NEVADA SMITH’S

See ya there!

FREE ESC ROAD TRIP TO NEW ENGLAND

“What else are you gonna do on a Sunday? Sit in your fuckin’ armchair wankin’ off to Pop Idols? Then try and avoid your wife’s gaze as you struggle to come to terms with your sexless marriage? Then go and spunk your wages on kebabs, fruit machines and brasses? Fuck that for a laugh! I know what I’d rather do. New England away, fucking love it!”

The Empire Supporters Club is providing for their members an opportunity to participate in that great right of passage…an away trip..at no cost. ESC will be offering a FREE away trip to the first 150 ESC members that sign up. The details will be worked out in the next 2 weeks, but we’re planning on leaving Sunday June 7th from Manhattan at noon and leaving from Jersey at 12:30. The game is in Boston at 6pm. We should be out of there by 8:30pm, back in Jersey around 12am and back into the city by 12:30am. The Manhattan pick up will be from Penn Station; the jersey pickup will likely be in Secaucus or somewhere close by the Lincoln tunnel.

We may set up a tailagte at Gillette Stadium and perhaps some musical entertainment provided by our resident DJ’s. To be determined.

WHO CAN GO: Any 2009 ESC member is eligible.

ONLY SIGN UP IF: You absolutely are going. No maybe, not “I want to go”, no fvcking around. We might be putting ourselves on the line for a 3rd bus if things work out that there is demand for it, so, anyone who cancels screws it up for the rest of us. It would mean someone who wanted to go can’t because you got their seat, and it might mean that we lose money because you no-show.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: Send an e-mail to this address (empiresc@verizon.net) if you can go. Include:

- Name (first & last)
- Cell phone number
- 2009 ESC number
- If you will use the NY or NJ pickup location.

Remember, only send an e-mail if you ARE GOING AND IF YOU ARE A MEMBER OF ESC.

MAC KANDJI…101 SUPERSTAR

Finally after a quarter of the season of almost unbearable football…the Red Bulls drop a major can of whoop ass on someone. The man of the match…Mac Kandji. A goal, two assists and an all around bad ass display.

But even more than that, this kid GETS IT. He come s and hangs out with supporters at the pub to watch his team when he didnt travel with them (due to injury), he scores infront of ESC in section 101 and jumps the barrier and celebrates with us.

Are you not entertained!!

This week’s NEW A VIEW FROM 101 is now online!

Every week ESC and First Touch Online will be bringing you a new feature called “A View From 101″ where ESC’s own Matrim55 will be doing write ups about supporting the New York Red Bulls from an ESC perspective.

The first introductory article can be found at FIRST TOUCH ONLINE

First Touch is run by Dave Witchard, an all around great guy, and he’s got a good website and magazine. Let’s show him some ESC-style support.

JOIN ESC ONLINE! GET INTO SECTION 101!

No more waiting in line in 16A, no more looking all over the place for the person to sign up with, no more having to be “there” to secure your membership. ESC has finally, after some delay, gone live with the online membership sign up page.

On our home page there is a tab at the top of the screen that says “JOIN”. Just click there and follow the very easy prompts. I joined this way and it literally took all of 2 minutes.

Once you sign up you will recieve a membership packet and card which you can use for discounted tickets to the supporters section. For more detailed information on this process and ESC memberships in general please review these threads on our message board forum:
